About Zappa and the Emergence of a Digital Model

Some faces disappear as soon as the image is ready. Zappa does not. What began as a quest for a unique visual identity for PB grew into something more fundamental. A digital face that does not change, does not fade, but evolves. From that idea, Digital Model Management was born.

The first face of PB. And the beginning of DMM.

There are faces you create.
And there are faces that emerge.

Zappa was not a commission.
Not an experiment.
Not a generated idea.

She was a quest.

When we began reshaping PB — not as a store, but as a digital atelier — we felt something was missing. Not technique. Not tools. Not vision. But a face. A constant. Something that could look back.

Zappa was the first face that remained.

Not perfect. Not smoothed over. Not commercially conceived.
But present. Silent. Unmistakable.

She became our reference for what was possible.
Not because she was “AI”.
But because she could be consistent.

And that's where it began.

From image to identity

What always frustrated us in traditional modeling processes was dependency. Planning. Availability. Variation without control.

With Zappa, we discovered something different.

A face that:
– retains the same bone structure
– ages when we want it to
– wears styling without losing identity
– remains recognizable campaign after campaign

That was no longer image generation.
That was model management.

Zappa did not become an image.
She became a system.

The birth of DMM

Digital Model Management did not arise from technology.
But from necessity.

What if a model can exist digitally —
but with the same consistency, integrity, and recognizability as a physical model?

Zappa was the proof.

With her, we built:
– fixed morphology
– controlled evolution
– fixed light and proportion logic
– identity over aesthetics

No generic AI faces.
No anonymous perfection.

But character.

PB and the first face

Zappa is inextricably linked with PB.

She was the first digital face to represent our atelier.
Not as a mascot. Not as a gimmick.
But as a foundation.

What began as an experiment became an architecture.

And from that architecture, DMM was born.

Today, Zappa is not only the first face of PB.
She is the beginning of a new form of model agency.

Digital.
Consistent.
Controllable.
But always recognizable.
